Updated 2024-2025 CFP and Heisman After Week 8...Georgia is Favorite Once Again

Week 8 of the college football season is in the rearview mirror and there have been some interesting future line movements at BetOnline.ag.

Another week and another new favorite to win the CFP. We have seen Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State, and Texas as favorites to win the CFP. Now, Georgia is once again the favorite.

Here are some notes on the odds changes after Week 8.

CFP

  • Georgia not only beat Texas but they replaced them as the favorites to win the title.
  • Despite Oregon ranked as #1 in the polls, they remain fourth in the odds.
  • Some teams whose odds shortened
    • Texas A&M from 50/1 to 33/1
    • Indiana from 150/1 to 66/1.
    • Colorado from 500/1 to 200/1
    • Army and Navy from 1000/1 to 750/1.
    • Cincinnati and Duke are back on the board.
  • Some other teams whose odds are longer now
    • Alabama from 8/1 to 18/1.
    • USC from 200/1 to 500/1.
    • Rutgers from 250/1 to 1000/1.
    • Texas Tech from 300/1 to 1000/1.
    • Oklahoma and Utah from 300/1 to 500/1.
  • Kentucky, Virginia, and West Virginia are now off the board.

 

Heisman

  • Ashton Jeanty is still the favorite but Cam Ward closed the gap.
  • Dillon Gabriel moved from tied to fifth to second and from 14/1 to 3/1.
  • Kurtis Rourke from 50/1 to 33/1.
  • Bryson Daily from 150/1 to 80/1.
  • Jalen Milroe from 11/1 to 25/1.
  • Quinn Ewers from 22/1 to 60/1.
  • Dylan Sampson is now on the board!
